WiFi settings - The WiFi options is quite handy and really needful for programming and adjusting of your model. For safety reasons the WiFi is switched off at each startup of the radio.

  • First you have to connect the BAT transmitter to a network:

    The menu shows on the left top corner the checkbox to activate the WiFi. Please ensure that the WiFi dongle is installed correctly (the left internal USB port if you look from the bottom).
    Now you can press the “Scan” button and the list will show all available networks which are in range. The SSID column shows the name of the network.
    If you have already some “known” networks they are on the top of the list. Even if they are not in range.
    The small WiFi symbol at each network is the particular signal strength.
    To connect to a network just tab it (turns grey shaded) and then press the "Connect" button, which is beside the “Scan” button. Whenever you connect to a network for the first time you will be automatically redirected to the setup menu of this network.
    The connection progress is shown and after success you can see the IP adress of your transmitter at the very bottom. Also the network is shaded blue now.
    Also you can delete stored network-configurations with the "trash" button. Press the setup button to enter the configuration screen for the particular network.

  • After joining a network with your radio you have the possibility to programm your model with any other device which provides a common internet or web browser (Windows Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Google Chrome, Opera,....).

    The device which you want to use has to be connected to the same network first. Now simply open the internet or web browser and type the IP adress of the BAT radio to the adressbar of the browser. You will enter the programming menu and you will see the home screen of your transmitter.
    For your consideration: Every external access can program independent and simultaneously with the BAT radio itself. So you could even programm in different menus at the same time.
    Also you can use more than one external gadget.
NOTE: WiFi is still in beta phase and that`s why some WiFi networks will not work smooth and proper. We will improve this as fast as possible.
Please also refer to the hints when using this external programming option:
  • The keyboard doesn`t work proper with external devices. Please use the keyboard pop-up of the transmitter itself.
  • Avoid the same menu and simultaneous use of the same menue with several external gadgets.
  • We recommend to switch the Wifi off when you are going to operate your model. The backchannel performance is a little shortened.
