Functions - the weatronic philosophy
With the weatronic programming style you are no more limited to channels or predefined and fixed structures. You are only limited by the number of servo plugs on the receiver! For example the Gizmo 30 offers 30 servo plugs. The model setup is organized in so called functions. These could be e.g. aileron, elevator, etc. you can also choose the name yourself. Usually each function needs one control, e.g. one stick axis, switch, etc. to operate during flight. Then you assign up to 10 servos to each function and set the dedicated maximum travel according to your wishes, mechanical or aerodynamic requirements for each servo separately. Also you can modify your functions with all the assigned servos under function setup. There you set up values like expo, rate, curve, differential (NOTE: for correct function of differential your servos need to have correct L(eft) R(ight) attribute) and fail safe. We strongly recommend that you adjust proper failsafe for each function. At least engine cut off to avoid any danger or hazardous risks. Remove the propeller, if you use an electric motor. When necessary you can add a Trim or a constant (flight mode-) offset (FMO).

By tabbing on the “PLUS” button on the top right corner you will create a new function at the end of the list, easily scroll down by swiping the screen “up” to reach the end of the list.
-
By tabbing the “TRASH” button you will see “RED CROSS” button at each function. Tab on this buttons to delete a function. NOTE: functions created by the “Setup Wizard” cannot be deleted.
The function list shows several columns:
-
Function, tab the function name and name it with the keyboard pop-up.
-
Setup, tab here to adjust “Flex rate” - “Flex Expo” - “Flex Differential” - “Fail Safe Position” - “Duration” - “Curve edit” for this function.
-
Control, tab here to assign a control to this function
-
Trim, tab here to adjust and configure the trim
-
FMO, the “flight mode offset” gives you a easy way to adopt a offset for this function to all flight modes. Check the “Top Information Row” to see which flight mode is activated at the moment.
-
Servos, tab here to add, remove and adjust servos to this function
